About Us

In 2009, a group of us students of His Holiness, the 12th Gyalwang Drukpa who had the good fortune of receiving his teachings in other Drukpa centres overseas found out about His Eminence the 9th Khamtrul Rinpoche Jigme Pema Nyinjadh’s teaching tour to all the Drukpa Asian centres. Knowing that His Eminence is the heart son of His Holiness the 12th Gyalwang Drukpa and very much like His Holiness, His Eminence teaches in a clear, direct and effective fashion, we requested that H.E. Khamtrul Rinpoche extend his teaching tour to Singapore after Malaysia. This took place in Sep 2009. At the end of the successful tour and teachings in Singapore, His Holiness the 12th Gyalwang Drukpa gave instructions through His Eminence for us to set up Drukpa Singapore. Under the guidance of His Holiness and His Eminence, Drukpa Singapore will work to promote the understanding and practice of the Dharma and community services activities to achieve happiness, peace and well-being of all in Singapore.
