His Holiness the Gyalwang Drukpa Honored by the United Nations
On 19th September 2010, His Holiness the Gyalwang Drukpa, founder of Live To Love, a new world-wide charity specializing in building the world’s most advanced eco-friendly schools and teaching young women leadership skills, received the United Nations’ Millennium Development Goal (MDG) Award for those efforts.

Guiness record for most number of trees planted
People of Ladakh, monks, nuns and members of Live to Love foundation, led by His Holiness Gyalwang Drukpa created a new Guinness world record by planting 50033 saplings in 33min and 25 secs. The Monks, Nuns, members of Young Drukpa Association (YDA) and the people of Ladakh took part in this historic activity covering an area of 224 Kanal. The representative of Guinness world record was also present on the occasion to monitor the record.
